Cautelio is a browser extension that reads contract text on the page you are viewing, analyzes it using an AI model, and returns a risk assessment. The analysis happens on demand — only when you press Analyze Contract.
When you use Cautelio, the text content of the current page (or the PDF you have open) is sent to our backend server for analysis. We collect:
We do not collect your name, email address, browsing history, or any other personal information.
The contract text you submit is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for AI analysis. Anthropic processes this text to identify risky clauses and return results. The text is used solely for this purpose and is not stored on our servers after the analysis is returned.
Anthropic's data usage is governed by their own privacy policy.
We do not store contract text. Submissions are processed in memory and discarded immediately after the analysis is returned to your browser. We maintain no database of user submissions.
The only third party that receives your data is Anthropic (for AI analysis). We do not share data with advertisers, analytics providers, or any other parties.
Using Cautelio is entirely opt-in. The extension only reads the current page and contacts our server when you explicitly press Analyze Contract. You can uninstall the extension at any time from your browser's extension manager.
All communication between the extension and our backend is encrypted over HTTPS. We do not store API keys or credentials in the extension itself.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@cautelioai.xyz.
